The Qin Empire IV
Set during the final years of the Warring States period, the story follows the rise of the Qin State as it strives to unify the six kingdoms under one rule. Key historical figures such as Ying Zheng, Lu Bu Wei, Li Si, and Wang Jian shape the political landscape, paving the way for the establishment of the first imperial dynasty in Chinese history.
The Qin State gains strategic dominance under the ambitious reforms of King Zhao Xiang. However, after his death—and the brief rule of King Xiao Wen—the court is plunged into disputes over succession. Lu Bu Wei, a shrewd and influential merchant, seizes the opportunity to support the exiled prince Ying Yi Ren in claiming the throne. With the eldest prince departing the capital, political unrest comes to a temporary halt.
Qin marches toward the goal of conquering all rival states, but the war against Zhao becomes a brutal and costly struggle. Meanwhile, Ying Zheng, the future First Emperor, returns to Qin with his mother Zhao Ji. Under Lu Bu Wei’s guidance, Ying Zheng begins showing the traits of a powerful ruler. Zhao Ji and Lu Bu Wei form a temporary alliance against Huayang Furen to secure Ying Zheng’s path to the throne.
Thus begins Ying Zheng’s relentless and bloody journey toward becoming emperor—using political maneuvering, strategic alliances, and the people around him to consolidate absolute power.
