Pretty Li Hui Zhen (2017) - 漂亮的李慧珍

"Pretty Li Hui Zhen" is a romantic comedy drama about friendship, first love, self-confidence, and the unexpected ways people can change over time. The story follows a kind-hearted woman who struggles with her appearance and career while reconnecting with her first love after many years apart.

Synopsis

Li Hui Zhen was once a bright and confident young girl who was admired for her beauty and cheerful personality. However, as she grows older, her appearance changes and her life takes a very different direction. Despite her struggles, she remains optimistic and kind toward the people around her.

After years of separation, Hui Zhen reconnects with her childhood friend Bai Hao Yu, who has become a successful and accomplished editor. He remembers the beautiful girl he once knew and looks forward to meeting her again, unaware of how much their lives have changed.

Feeling insecure about herself, Hui Zhen asks her best friend Xia Qiao to meet Hao Yu in her place. Meanwhile, Hui Zhen begins working at the same fashion magazine as Hao Yu, where she encounters demanding workplace challenges and a mysterious colleague, Lin Yi Mu.

As the four characters become increasingly connected, misunderstandings, hidden identities, and complicated feelings create a series of humorous and emotional situations. Through her experiences at work and in love, Hui Zhen gradually learns to appreciate herself and recognize her own strengths.

"Pretty Li Hui Zhen" combines romance and comedy with a warm message about self-acceptance. Rather than judging people by appearance or social success, the story emphasizes personal growth, genuine friendship, and discovering the confidence to become the best version of oneself.
