This series tells the life story of Yin Reng, the son and heir apparent to Emperor Kangxi. Yin Reng was installed as the Crown Prince but was demoted twice throughout his lifetime. Eventually, his younger brother, Yin Zhen, ascended the throne and became Emperor Yongzheng.
