Chen Xiao Man has spent years working tirelessly in the city, hoping to save enough money to buy shares in her family’s porcelain business. Just when she is close to achieving her dream, an unexpected layoff forces her to return to her hometown. At the same time, her former superior, Ke Yan, experiences a major career setback of his own.
In an effort to turn his situation around, Ke Yan travels to Xiao Man’s hometown in search of a legendary investment master who has been living in seclusion. This unexpected journey leads to a heartfelt reunion between Chen Xiao Man and Ke Yan.
